Odds and preview for the lunchtime kick off:

Fans will have been hoping to attend the grand opening of Tottenham’s new stadium this Saturday lunchtime, but having experienced construction delays, both sides will instead find themselves walking Wembley Way as Tottenham Hotspur host Liverpool.

When Spurs cut through Manchester United just over two weeks ago they looked like a team that could compete at the top of the table, but in typical Tottenham fashion, they fell at the next hurdle as Watford came from a goal behind to beat them 2-1.

Liverpool held off a Leicester fightback in their last game, as they maintained their 100% winning record at the start of this season. Touted by many to be Manchester City’s biggest threat to the title, Saturday will be Liverpool’s first major challenge of the season.

Having only taken 1 point from 5 away meetings against Top Six opposition last season, they will have to drastically improve their away form if they are find themselves at the top of the pile come the end of the season.

Match Betting:

With Hugo Lloris and Dele Alli set to miss out, Liverpool go to Wembley as favourites and can be found as short as 6/5 with some companies.

Tottenham are out at 2/1, but Pochettino will have reminded his players about the 4-1 victory in the same fixture last season. They are 65/1 to repeat the scoreline, with Liverpool 45/1 to return the favour.

Jurgen Klopp has lost 3 of his 3 visits to Wembley with Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund, and will be wanting to banish his record and keep Liverpool’s winning run going.

Lucas Moura and Saido Mane have both begun the season in glittering form. With 7 goals between them so far, expect both of them to full of confidence going into this tie. Mane can be found as big as 13/2 with Lucas Moura at a huge 8/1 to be First Goalscorer.

Harry Kane and Mo Salah relished these meeting last season, with both players notching three goals a piece over the two games. Kane is out at 11/10 with Salah at 11/8 to Score Anytime.

In a fixture with a history of penalties James Milner is 6/1 to Score Anytime.
