Burnley V Stoke
These teams have met 107 times in the past. Stoke have the better record winning 46 times. Between them they have drawn 24 times and Burnley have won 37 times.
The last time they met in this reverse fixture it was the home side who managed to come out the victors. It was John Walters who put Stoke ahead in the 20th minute and Marc Muniesa who grabbed the 2nd in the 35th minute to seal the win for The Potters.
Burnley recent form has been very poor losing 4 and drawing 2 in their last 6 games. On the weekend they faced an inform Tottenham and suffered a 2-0 loss.
Stoke haven’t been in great form themselves winning 2, drawing 1 and losing 3. On the weekend they suffered a 2-0 away loss at the hand of the champions Leicester. Burnley fans will be pleased to here that their first team have no injury concerns and have a fully fit team ahead of this one.
Peter Crouch has a sore knee and is a doubt for Stoke as well as Xerdan Shaqiri and Geoff Cameron who remain doubts with their thigh problems.
Despite their terrible recent form it is Burnley who are favourites and can be backed @ 6/4 with William Hill. The draw is at 9/4 with Paddy Power and Stoke are @ 12/5 with Bet Victor.
I think Burnley are better at home then recent results may suggest and with a clean bill of health they can take all 3 points here.
Leicester V Sunderland
Previously these two have met 87 times and it is very close between them, Leicester have won 34, Sunderland 31 and they have drawn 22 times.
When they last met back in December it was a rare victory for Sunderland. A Robert Huth own goal put the Black Cats ahead and Jermain Defoe doubted their lead, Shinjo Okazaki grabbed a consolation goal for the Champions but it wasn’t enough.
Leicester have been in fantastic form of late winning 5 and losing 1 of their last 6. They are currently on a 5 game winning streak including on the weekend when they managed a 2-0 win over Stoke City.
Sunderland have been in terrible form winning 1, drawing 1 and losing 4 of their last 6. They haven’t managed a win in their last 5 including on the weekend when they lost 1-0 to Watford.
Leicester’s only injury concern is to their team captain Wes Morgan who is still suffering with his back injury.
Sunderland looked to be back to full health until Moyes hinted that Defoe may not be available as he didn’t train Sunday.
Leicester are short priced favourites for this and can be backed @ 4/9 with most firms including Ladbrokes. The draw is @ 15/4 with Betway and Sunderland are @ 38/5 with Marathon Bet.
I think this is another victory for Leicester and they will go 6 out of 6 since they changed their manager.
Watford V West Brom
These two have only actually met on 38 occasions with Watford winning 11, they have drawn 9 times but it is West Brom with 18 wins that have the better of it.
In the reverse fixture back in December it was West Brom that took the 3 points. Johnny Evans put the Baggies in front in the 16th minute. Chris Brunt doubled their lead in the first half. Christian Kabasele pulled one back for Watford but Matt Philips sealed the victory for West Brom in injury time.
Watford have been in pretty poor form lately, winning 2, drawing 1 and losing 3 of their last 6 games. They did manage a win last time out when they grabbed a 1-0 home win over struggling Sunderland.
West Brom’s form hasn’t been that much better of late winning 2, drawing 2 and losing 2 of their last 6. They did manage a very good 0-0 draw away to Manchester United last time out.
A big loss for Watford was the hamstring injury defender Younes Kaboul picked up on the weekend that may rule him out for the season. West Brom have no major injury conccerns going into this just one or two niggles from the weekend.
Watford are slight favourites for this and are best priced with William Hill @ 13/8. The draw is @ 23/10 with Boylesport and West Brom are @ 11/5 with Betway.
I fancy West Brom to get the 3 points here and the 11/5 is too big for me.
