Crystal Palace V Leicester City
These two sides have met 66 times in the past and they have a pretty close record between them. Leicester have a slight advantage winning 26, Crystal Palace have won 23 times and they have drawn 17 times.
Last time they met was back in October and it was Leicester who came out on top with a 3-1 home win. Ahmed Musa put them ahead just before the break and then 2nd half goals from Shinji Okazaki and Christian Fuchs made it 3-0. Yohan Cabaye got a late consolation goal for Palace but it was too little too late.
Palace have been in great form of late winning 5 ad losing just 1 of their last 6 games. Last time out they got back to winning ways with a huge 3-0 win over Arsenal at home.
Leicester have been in good form themselves of late and they have won 4 and lost 2 of their last 6 in all competitions. They lost last time against Atletico Madrid 1-0 away at Madrid.
Palace are without up to 6 first teamers for this tie including striker Loic Remy.
Leicester are still without captain Wes Morgan with his back injury and they will be expected to make changes with the Champions League tie on the horizon.
Crystal palace are favourites for this and they are best price @ 4/5 with a few firms including William Hill. The draw is @ 3/1 with Betway and Leicester are @ 4/1 with a couple of firms including Bet Fred.
It is a difficult one to call this but I am going to side with the home side as I think Leicester will have more concerns about the Champions League tie.
Everton V Burnley
These two have met 109 times in the past and as you would expect it is Everton who have the better record. They have won 47 times, Burnley have won 33 and they have drawn 29 times.
Last time they met was at the end of October and it was a good home win for Burnley who managed to sneak it 2-1. Sam Vokes put Burnley ahead in the first half then Yannick Bolasie grabbed an equalise in the 58th minute. It looked like the points would be shared when Scott Arfield grabbed a injury time winner for Burnley.
Everton have been in fairly decent form of late, winning 3, drawing 1 and losing 2 of their last 6 matches. Last time out they managed a 4-2 win over Champions Leicester which was a fantastic game for the neutrals.
Burnley have not been in very good form, they have won 1, drawn 2 and lost 3 of their last 6 games. They managed a 0-0 draw away at Middlesbrough last time out.
Everton will be without both Aaron Lennon and Muhamed Besic but the latter is nearing fitness following 9 months out.
The only major absentee for Burnley is Johann Berg Gudmundsson who is nearing a return from his ligament injury.
Everton are clear favourites @ 1/2 with Stan James, the draw is best with Bet365 @ 15/4 and Burnley are @ 15/2 with a few firms including Bet Victor.
I fancy another home win here.
Stoke City V Hull City
Stoke have faced Hull on 64 previous occasions and it is Stoke who have the better record winning 27 times, they have drawn 19 times and Hull have won 18.
The last time they met was back in October when Stoke managed a 2-0 away win. A goal on either side of the break from midfield maestro Xherdan Shaqiri sealed the win for Stoke.
Stoke have been in pretty poor form of late winning 1, drawing 1 and losing 4 of their last 6 games. They are currently on a 4 game losing streak including last time when they were leading against Liverpool at home but lost 2-1.
Hull have been in ok form of late, they have won 3 and lost 3 of their last 6 matches. Last time out they lost away to a good Manchester City side 3-1.
Stoke are without Joe Allen and Jonathan Walter. Their biggest concern is for Ibraham Afelley who will be out for the season after undergoing a knee operation.
The only major doubt for Hull is Harry Maguire who will be assessed following his knee injury.
Despite Stokes recent terrible form they are favourites for this one, they are best priced @ 1/1 with a few companies including William Hill, the draw is @ 13/5 with Bet365 and Hull is best with Marathon Bet @ 67/20.
Another tough one but I will punt for another home win here despite their poor recent form.
Sunderland V West Ham
Sunderland have met West Ham 91 times in the past. West Ham edge it with 36 wins, Sunderland have won 31 and they have drawn 24 times.
West ham have not lost in their last 6 meetings with Sunderland including last time when they managed a 1-0 win in the London Stadium thanks to a injury time goal from Winston Reid.
Sunderland have been in terrible form of late losing 5 and drawing 1 of their last 6 matches. Last time out they lost 3-0 at home to Manchester United.
West Ham’s form hasn’t been much better, they have won 1 and lost 5 of their last 6 matches. Last time out they did stop their losing streak by beating Swansea 1-0.
Sunderland are without Sebastian Larsson who starts his 3 match ban and Bryan Oviedo is injured with a hamstring problem.
West Ham are without captain Mark Noble who is suspended and Michail Antonio is out for the season.
The bookies have West ham as slight favourites for this and they can be backed @ 7/5 with a few firms including Bet Stars. Sunderland are best @ 9/4 with BWin and the draw is @ 13/5 with Bet Stars.
I think neither side is good enough to win a game so I will be backing the draw here.
Watford V Swansea
Watford have met Swansea 45 times previously, it is Swansea who have the better record winning 21 of them. they have drawn 10 times and Watford have won 14 times.
Last time they played at the Liberty Stadium is finished in a goalless draw.
Watford have not been in the greatest form of late winning2, drawing 1 and losing 3 of their last 6. Last time out was a huge 4-0 loss away at Tottenham.
Swansea have been in even worse form recently winning 1, drawing 1 and losing 4 of their last 6. Last time was a 1-0 away loss at the hands of West Ham.
Watford are with suspended Miguel Britos. They also have injury doubts over Younes Kaboul, Sebastian Prodl and Valon Behrami.
Swansea’s major injury concern is for their captain Jack Cork who has a sprained ankle.
Watford are the favourites and can be backed @ 31/20 with a couple of firms including Bet Victor. The draw is @47/20 with Marathon Bet and Swansea are @ 11/5 also with Marathon Bet.
I fancy the draw here.
