Two weeks ago Juventus took a significant step in reaching the last 8 of the Champions League by beating FC Porto 2-0 away from home at Estádio do Dragão. The tie could have been a lot more difficult for the Italians had it not been for Porto Left Back Alex Nicolao Telles getting booked in the 25th minute and then just 2 minutes later he received his 2nd yellow and a subsequent red card.

I imagine it had a lot to do with the sending off but Juventus absolutely dominated this first leg having 70% of the possession, they also made the possession pay having 18 attempts to Porto’s 3. Despite all of the possession and the 18 attempts they could be accused of being wasteful only hitting the target on 4 occasions and it wasn’t until the 72nd minute when substitute Marko Pjaca managed to break the deadlock.

The Juve manager would have been feeling good about himself after the game because his next substitute Dani Alves then grabbed the 2nd goal just a minute after coming on.

Since they last met Juventus have continued their unbeaten run winning 3 and drawing once. Last time out they faced AC Milan at the Juventus stadium, the game looked destined for a draw as both teams in the 96th minute were 1 apiece and then Juventus were awarded a penalty which they dispatched and managed to steal all 3 points.

FC Porto have been in great form themselves since their 1st leg loss to Juventus. They have played in the league 3 times and won all 3 scoring 12 goals and conceding 0. So they may have the belief that if they can keep 11 men on the field they can score goals whilst keeping a clean sheet.

The bookies think Juventus will take this in 90 minutes and can be backed @ 7/10 with a few firms including William Hill. The draw is generally 14/5 but you can get 63/20 with Marathon bet and Porto are best priced with Bet365 @ 21/4.

The to qualify market has Juventus @ 1/33 best price with Bet365 but if you fancy Porto to turn this around it is generally around 16/1 but you can get 19/1 with Marathon bet.

I fancy goals in this as Porto have to come out and play so over 2.5 goals is back-able @ 23/20 with Betstars.
