These two produced a great game last time in Leverkusen with the Spaniards taking a 4-2 lead into the 2nd leg. The Germans dominated possession and chances but it was the Spaniards who managed to convert their chances.
It was the perfect 1st half away performance for Atletico when in the 17th minute they took the lead through a good Saul Niguez goal, they then followed that up just 8 minutes later with a goal through the french superstar Antoine Griezmann.
Leverkusen hit back immediately after the break through Karim Bellarabi, then shortly before the hour mark Madrid striker Kevin Gameiro restored Madrid’s 2 goal lead. Leverkusen then closed the gap to 1 again when Stefan Savic put the ball into his own net. The scoring was completed my Madrid when former Liverpool and Chelsea striker Fernando Torres resoted the 2 goal lead again.
Atletico have not been in the greatest form since the first leg, they have won 2 drew 1 and lost 1. That loss was against Barcelona so I suppose that can be forgiven but a positive they can take into this is they don’t concede many so they will be full of confidence in this.
Leverkusen have been in pretty poor form since the 1st leg, they have lost 2 and drew 1 conceding 9 goals in the process. They do score goals though so they certainly stand a punches chance.
The bookies have Madrid as clear favourites for this 13/20 with a few firms including Paddy Power, the draw is generally a 16/5 shot but you can get 13/4 with Marathon bet. If you fancy Leverkusen to win in the 90 minutes you can get 5/1 with Betfred.
To Qualify Atletico Madrid are @ 1/50 with WIlliam Hill and Bet Fred. If you think Leverkusen can Qualify Paddy Power are the biggest price @ 33/1.
