Paris Saint-Germain V Barcelona

Tuesday 14th February 2017
19.45 Kick Off on BT Sport 1 available with GibSat

PSG came through their group stage as runners up behind London club Arsenal. PSG managed to finish on 12 points unbeaten winning 3 and drawing 3 finishing just 2 points behind Arsenal.

PSG are struggling compared to their usual high standard in their league form. They currently sit 2nd place and 3 points behind leaders Monaco.

In their last league game they managed a 3-0 away win to Bordeaux, a brace from Edison Cavani and a goal from Angel Di Marie completed the scoring.

PSG are only really missing Thiago Motta who is suspended, Marco Verratti has had a knock but should be fit to return. PSG rested Thiago Silva for Friday’s game against Bordeaux and is likely to return here.

Barcelona came through a tough group themselves, they dominated Group C winning 5 and losing once, finishing on 15 points, 6 clear of 2nd placed Manchester City.

In La Liga, Barcelona are in their regular battle with rivals Real Madrid, they are currently 2nd 1 point behind Real and 2 points ahead of 3rd placed Sevilla.

Last game in the league they won away at Alaves 6-0, Suarez got 2, Neymar 1, Messi 1, Rakatic 1 and an own goal from Alexis.

Manager Luis Enrique will feel very lucky knowing Andreas Iniesta and Sergio Busquets are both back from injury and available for selection. Aleix Vidal is their only real injury concern ahead of this one.

Barcelona edge favouritsm here and can be backed @6/5 with a few of the firms. PSG are @13/5 with Bet365 and the draw is also @13/5 with BetStars and Bet Victor.

I fancy the draw in this one @13/5. I am also going to back total goals under 2.5 @11/10 with Paddy Power.
