Millwall v Leicester
These two have met 42 times in the past Leicester edge it with 18 wins, Millwall have won 16 and they have drawn 8 times. Leicester have won the last 2 times these they have met Millwall, the last time was in 2014 when they beat them in the Championship away 3-1.
Millwall have been in good form of late and are unbeaten in their last 6 winning 4 and drawing 2. They have won their last 3 in a row including last time out when they beat Port Vale at home 2-0.
Leicester’s recent for is in stark contrast to that, they have won1, drawn 1 and lost 4 of their last 6 games. Their only win was an extra time victory against lower league Derby in this competition last round in a replay. Last time they lost to improving Swansea 2-0.
Millwall will be disappointed in their current league position, they are down in 6th and 14 points off the top of the table.
Leicester are majorly struggling this term and failing to hit the dizzying heights of last term. They are currently in 17th just 1 place and 1 point above the relegation zone.
Millwall have never won the FA Cup but did finish runners up in 2004 when they lost to Man Utd 3-0. Leicester have never won this trophy either, they have finished runners up on 3 occasions the last time a 1-0 to Man City in 1969.
Both managers have admitted that the league is were their priorities lie.
Millwall boss Neil Harris said that this is a huge game for the club, the players and the fans but his mind is already on Tuesdays league match against Chesterfield.
Claudio Ranieri said that Leicesters target is the Premier League and that is it, he said of course they have to play in the FA Cup and the Champions League but their aim is Premier League safety is all he cares about.
Leicester are slight favourites @13/8 with William Hill and Bet Stars. Millwall are best with Bet365 and Betfred @ 2/1, the draw is best @ 23/10 with a few of the firms.
I would have a small bet on the draw in this one as Leicester will play a weakened side which will even up the tie.
