Burnley V Lincoln
These teams have met on 53 previous occasions, Burnley have won 26, they have drawn 11 and Lincoln have won 16 times. Burnley are unbeaten against Lincoln in their last 7 games dating back to 1991, they have won 4 and drawn 3 of the 7. They have drawn the last 2 against each other.
Burnley have been in good form of late, winning 3, drawing 1 and losing 2 of their last 6. Last time out they held league leaders Chelsea to a 1-1 draw. They also managed to beat Champions Leicester in their last 6.
Lincoln have been in very good form of late winning 5 and losing 1 of their last 6 matches. Last time out they managed a 3-2 victory over struggling Woking.
In the Premier League Burnley are sitting pretty in 12th position and without any real fear of being dragged into a relegation battle they can try for a good run in this years FA Cup.
Lincoln I am sure will have an eye on their League position, however this big away match against a Premier League side my be a welcome distraction from the stresses of being top of the Conference Premier.
If Lincoln do manage a major upset here they will be the first non-league club to reach the last 8 of the FA Cup since QPR in 1914.
Burnley however have an unbelievable home record under Sean Dyche and they have only lost 3 of their last 29 home games.
The Burnley manager has warned his players not to take this tie softly and told them that there is 11 players out there trying to knock you out of the competition.
Lincoln manager Danny Cowley has said his side face a monumental task and 1 in 100 chance of getting this right but him and his players have to believe they can do it.
The Bookies have it priced as you would probably expect with the premier league side being short priced favourites. You can get @1/3 with Paddy power if you want to back Burnley, the draw is best @5/1 with Bet Fred and Bet Stars are best on Lincoln @12/1.
As much as the FA Cup can throw up a shock from time to time but I can’t see one here and I think @1/3 for Burnley is buying money, I will be having a decent punt on that one.
