Bournemouth V Arsenal

Bournemouth picked up a good result on the weekend away from home against Swansea at the Liberty Stadium. They dominated possession and had the better of the chances, they went a goal up in the 28th minute with a goal by Afobe which was finished well following some good build up. They then went on and grabbed a 2nd right on the stroke of half time through Fraser who bundled the ball over the line following a great 1-2 on the edge of the box. They finished off the rout with a good counter attacking goal in the 88th minute through King.

Arsenal followed up their win over West Brom with a comfortable win over Crystal Palace on Sunday. The game was 1 sided and a stroll in the park for “The Gunners” but will be remembered for one wonderful moment of football, in the 17th minute the Arsenal defense broke up a Palace attack and burst out with pace, the ball ended up on the left wing with Alexis Sanchez who crossed for Giroud who scored an audacious scorpion back heel kick that hit the bar before rippling the net. Iwobi scored a good looping header in the 56th minute to complete the victory.

These sides have only ever met 4 times before with Arsenal coming out on top on all 4 occasions including earlier this season when Arsenal comfortably beat “The Cherries” 3-1 at the Emirates stadium.

Despite Bournemouth having a good season so far they do seem to struggle against the “bigger” side and we think they will do so here again. You can get @4/5 for Arsenal with pretty much all the top firms. The draw is best with Bet365 and Bet Victor @29/10, Bournemouth are best with BetFred and William Hill.

Alexis Sanchez has been in great form this season and got a brace against “The Cherries” last time they faced, he is @7/2 with all the big firms to score first and best priced with Ladbrokes @11/10 to score anytime.

Crystal Palace V Swansea City

Crystal Palace fans would of been hoping the appointment of Big Sam Allardyce as their new manager would of speared them on for a result against Arsenal but it wasn’t to be, they looked quite poor and never really threatened to trouble Arsenal for the points. If anything Arsenal could of scored more than the 2 goals. They have not won in their last 5 games and are hovering ominously 1 place above the relegation zone.

Swansea themselves have been in dreadful form losing all 4 of their last matches and conceding at least 3 goals in all of them. Last time out they would of fancied their chances at home against Bournemouth but it wasn’t to be, they suffered a huge 3-0 loss to “The Cherries” and they really need something to go their way.

The teams have met 26 times in their history with Swansea coming out on top with 11 wins, 10 draws and 5 wins for Palace. Despite their poor head to head record we fancy Palace can edge this one and the home advantage should help. They can be backed @20/23 with Boylesports to take the 3 points. The draw is best priced @14/5 with Bet Victor and Swansea are best @15/4 with Bet365.

The match earlier in the season was an absolute thriller finishing 5-4 to Swansea following 2 90 minute goals from Fernando Llorente. You can back Llorente @15/2 with all the big companies to score the last goal this time or he can be backed as big as @11/4 with BetFred to score anytime.

Stoke City V Watford

Stoke City are on a streak of 5 loses in a row despite a good performance last time out against Chelsea, they lost convincingly in the end 4-2 to the league leaders but they certainly gave them a bit of a score. Chelsea went ahead in the first half with a Gary Cahill header. Stoke equalised through Martins Indi then Willian restored Chelsea’s lead. Peter Crouch hit one from just inside the Chelsea box to make it 2-2 but just 1 minute later Willian got his 2nd and Chelsea’s 3rd then in the 85th Minute Diego Costa sealed Chelsea’s win.

Watford are also struggling and haven’t won in their last 4 games and they were very very poor on Sunday against Tottenham. Despite being at home Watford didn’t turn up in the first half and Spurs cruised to a 3-0 lead at half time with a brace from Harry Kane and 1 from Alli, Alli got his 2nd in the first minute of the 2nd half and the route was complete. Watford did manage to get a late consolation goal through Kaboul who would of enjoyed scoring against his former club.

The overall record between these two clubs is very close with Watford edging it with 14 wins to Stokes 13 wins, with 6 draws between them. We think Stoke will even up that record this time around and are @5/6 with most of the big firms to do so. The draw is best with Bet365 and BetFred @11/4 and Watford are best @17/4 with Coral.

Stoke won the return tie this season with a 1-0 away victory following an own goal from the Watford Keeper Heurelho Gomes, if you fancy another low scoring match you can get @4/5 with BetVictor for under 2.5 goals in the match. Watford received 5 yellows and 1 red in their last encounter and you can get @9/2 with StanJames for their to be a sending off in the match.

We hope you enjoy the games and read out for our Tottenham V Chelsea preview.
