We will witness last seasons Champions Leicester City F.C take on the favourites to lift this seasons crown Chelsea F.C.
Leicester have had a terrible season so far but they have shown some signs of the Leicester of last season recently. Last time out in the F.A Cup when they came from a goal behind away at Everton to win 2-1 and book themselves a place in the 4th round.
The Foxes are also unbeaten in their last 2 league games, a recent 0-0 draw with Middlesbrough and a 1-0 win over West Ham Utd has given them a bit of breathing space and they now sit in 15th in the league and 6 points clear of relegation.
Claudio Ranieri’s men will come up against arguably one of their best players from last season in N’Golo Kante who signed for Chelsea last summer for a amount in the region of £32 million. They have struggled to replace such an influential player in their midfield. They have just completed the signing of defensive midfielder Wilfred Ndidi form Genk, could he be the replacement they have been looking for? The manager has said his new 20 year old signing is fit and could be handed his Premier League debut against Chelsea.
Chelsea have been in scintillating form this season and find themselves at the summit of the Premier League, they are 5 points clear of 2nd place Liverpool and have won 16 on their 20 games in the league.
The Blues did hit a bit of a stumbling block in their last league match when their 13 winning streak was ended abruptly by a very good and dominant Tottenham side at White Hart Lane.
They did get a good result this week against league 1 side Peterborough 4-1 to seal their place in the 4th round draw.
Chelsea this week recalled defender Nathan Ake from his loan spell at Bournemouth and he is in contention for a place in this weekends squad. Ake has had a fantastic time at Bournemouth including scoring a winning goal against Chelsea’s nearest rivals Liverpool in December.
Antonio Conte will be hoping his team can get back to winning ways in the league here and does not have any new injury worries ahead of the clash.
I think it will be a very tight game this one and will be putting a few small bets on a couple of the bigger prices. My first bet will be on Leicester who can be backed @ 5/1 with BetFred and BetVictor. The Draw is best price with William Hill @ 16/5 and Chelsea can be backed @ 4/6 with BetFred and PaddyPower.
I will also having a small bet on Leicester to win 1-0 @ 16/1 with Bet365.
Whichever way you go this result could have huge ramifications for both clubs.
