The festive football schedule gets under way early boxing day with a 12.30 GMT kick off when Watford will play host to Crystal Palace Live on Sky Sports 1 (available on your Gibsat box).

WATFORD v CRYSTAL PALACE

Watford are hoping to avoid a hat-trick of defeats following recent losses by Man City and Sunderland. They do however boast a decent home record this season and will be glad to be playing back at Vicarage Road. Palace find themselves in a bit of turmoil at the moment, following the sacking of their manager Alan Pardew on Thursday afternoon and recent defeats, seeing them just 1 point above the relegation zone and desperate for some points. Barring the bottom 2 in the table Palace and Watford have the next 2 worst defensive records in the league, this should mean goals goals goals!

Our bets for the game would be Total goals over 2.5 @11/10 with various companies or if you fancy a goalscorer bet Watfords top scorer this season is Etienne Capoue who is @11/1 with bet365 for 1st goalscorer or @4/1 to score anytime with bet365.

Once you’ve got over Pardew’s dance moves at having Christmas and New Year’s off, there are a host of 15:00 GMT games that will be available on the Bein sports channels (available via Gibsat box)!

Arsenal V West Brom

The Gunners have lost their last two games and have gone from top of the league down to 4th and only a point above their bitter rivals Tottenham. They will be desperate to get back to winning ways against West Brom.

The Baggies are having a decent season so far and find themselves in 8th position however they do seem to struggle against the top sides having recent losses to Chelsea and Man Utd. Our money will be going on a home win HT/FT with Arsenal @ 1/1 with Coral to be winning at half time and full time. If you are looking for a little bit of value The Baggies can be backed @10/1 with William Hill. West Brom striker Salomon Rondon is also in form following a recent hat trick and can be backed at as big @11/1 to grab the first goal.

Burnley V Middlesborough

Probably not the most exciting tie for the neutrals, Burnley started the season very well but have been in free-fall recently winning one and losing 5 of their last six league games. They find themselves just 3 points above the relegation zone and hoping for 3 points from St Nic to help them celebrate the festivities.

Boro themselves have had an up and down season and they too find themselves in the bottom half of the table, 1 positive for them is their star striker Negredo is scoring goals. This is a tough one to call so don’t let me sway you but I think it will be a narrow victory for the away side. If you agree with me Middlesbrough can be backed @13/8 with William Hills and Bet Victor. Alvaro Negrado can be backed @5/1 with Ladbrokes to score 1st which also wouldn’t be a bad bet.

Chelsea V Bournemouth

The Blues are in fine form at the moment and look down from the summit of the table 6 points clear of the next best. 6 times out of the last 7 seasons have seen the leaders at Christmas go on to lift the trophy in May. Chelsea have won 12 in a row in the league, the last 4 by a 1-0 scoreline.

Bournemouth have had a mixed bag of results recently, beating Liverpool 4-3, losing to Burnley 3-2, beating Leicester 1-0 then losing 3-1 to Southampton. Despite their inconsistencies they do find themselves in the top half of the table. We can only see one result here and that’s a home win, The price is too short for home win but Chelsea have won the last 4 games 1-0 so we will back them to win 1-0 @7/1 with various companies. With top scorer Costa suspended, Eden Hazard to score first goal is @5/1 with Bet365.

Leicester V Everton

This could arguably be the tie of the day, the Champions have been in terrible form so far this season and find themselves just 3 points above the relegation zone. They did show some real fight last time out when they were 2 -0 down away at Stoke with star striker Jamie Vardy sent off, when they hauled themselves back to a 2-2 draw, could that be the kick start they needed to get their season up and running?

Everton themselves have also been very inconsistent and star striker Romelu Lukaku struggling in front of goal. They will also be reeling following their recent defeat to bitter rivals Liverpool who stole all 3 points with a 96th minute winner at Goodison Park. With Vardy, Huth And Fuchs all out suspended I think Everton may edge out the Champions here. Everton to win is best price with William Hills @2/1. You can also get Lukaku to score first @9/2 with Ladbrokes.

Man Utd V Sunderland

The Red Devils find themselves on a decent run of form at the moment, unbeaten in their last 8 games. Mourinho finally seems to have his squad of superstars playing as a team and as he is likely to be delving into the upcoming transfer market his current players will be out to prove their worth.

Sunderland despite a recent win over Watford still find themselves in the bottom 3 and contemplating another season flirting with relegation. There is only one outcome for us here and that is a comfortable home win for Utd. My bet is for Man Utd HT/FT @3/4 with Coral. In form striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is priced @11/4 by various companies to score the first goal.

Zlatan v Hull City by Dom Fellowes

Swansea V West Ham

The swans are currently in deep deep trouble sitting joint bottom of the league and struggling to find a run of sustained results. A few weeks ago they may have looked to this tie as a potential 3 points but West Ham have hit some form of late winning their last 2 games. 1-0 wins over Burnley and bottom placed Hull have seen them move up to 13th place and if they can follow that up with a win here the fans may begin to forget about the 1st half of the season. I think the hammers can edge this one, they are 9/5 with William Hills to take the win but if you are looking for a bit of value they are @21/2 with Bet Victor to win 1-0 for the 3rd consecutive match.

Hull City V Man City

The evening game is between Hull City and Man City at 18:15 GMT, The Tigers have not won a game in their last 6 and are at the bottom of the table and favourites to be relegated this season. Although The Citizens have not been firing on all cylinders themselves this season they are still in 3rd and hoping to keep up the pace with Liverpool and leaders Chelsea. We expect them to do that comfortably here. Man City HT/FT is 19/20 with Coral. With Sergio Aguero still out suspended you might find a bit of value on a first goalscorer such as Kevin De Bruyne @11/2 with Paddy Power to score first goal.
