Bournemouth 4 – 3 Liverpool
Liverpool have thrown away a 2 – 0 first half lead and a 3 – 1 lead today, severely damaging their Premier League title race.
Liverpool dominated ruthlessly first half getting forward with an attacking mentality that can make them so dangerous. Unfortunately the second half demonstrated that it can also leave them exposed to concede!
Naturally Twitter reacted accordingly to such a monumental come back from the cherries!

Liverpool, who due their blistering start were one of the title favourites, but today the season suffered a huge blow today at the hands of Bournemouth FC. The Reds started the game fantastically and found themselves 2-0 up at the break and seemingly cruising to the 3 points they needed to take them back to 2nd in the Premier League. Goals from Mane and Origi capped off what was undoubtedly one of the most dominant away 1st half performances we have seen this season in the Premier League.
Unfortunately for the Reds they could not maintain their performance in the 2nd half and the Cherries certainly stepped up their game and quickly pulled one back on the 56th minute with a Wilson goal. Emre Can then restored Liverpool’s 2 goal lead with a fantastic first time shot from the edge of the area but unfortunately for the Reds things went down hill from there.
76 minutes in Frazier took advantage of some lazy defending from Liverpool and just two minutes later Cook fired in the equaliser. Liverpool were defending for their lives and Bournemouth were cruising. I am sure both teams would have been happy with a point each at this stage but in the last minute of stoppage time Ake fired home the winner for the home side and sent the home fans into raptures. Bournemouth now find themselves comfortably in the top half of the table and the Reds scratching their heads about what went wrong.
Liverpool now sit in 3rd place 4 points behind leaders Chelsea.
